This is not about following an olfactory trend, but about interpreting what it means to smell like Matarranz—which is to smell like home: translating its legacy into an intimate, constant and enveloping sensation.”

A sophisticated fragrance built around noble woods and natural nuances that evoke the warmth of a lived-in home.

Top notes: Cardamom, basil, clary sage, bitter orange oil and bergamot.
Heart notes: Star anise, cypress, geranium and jasmine.
Base notes: Dreamwood®, acacia wood, sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood.

• A design that looks back to the origins of perfume

The design of the glass and label draws inspiration from the primitive origins of perfumery and the aesthetic of traditional pharmacies. The amber glass pays tribute to apothecary bottles, where the first aromatic formulas were created. Its warm tone not only protects and preserves the fragrance better, but also connects with the idea of origin formulas: careful, precise creations made to last.

The label revives the elegant sobriety of classic perfumery and traditional pharmaceutical preparations, highlighting Matarranz’s commitment to combining tradition, quality and essential design.

That warmth you cannot see, but can feel, and that protects us. That atmosphere that turns a space into a refuge, a place of connection and coexistence,” explains Miguel Matarranz, fourth generation leading the brand.

• Refill format

“eL Hogar” is presented as a refillable candle, allowing the container to be reused and reducing the impact associated with long-term use.

The refill is carefully wrapped in natural linen, made from leftover fabrics from Matarranz’s bespoke tailoring workshop in Madrid, where tablecloths, bed linen and garments for the home are crafted.

A structural decision that responds to a new definition of luxury: objects that are not only enjoyed, but preserved.

• Natural and responsible materials

Each candle is made with 100% natural soy wax and a pure cotton wick, ensuring a clean and even burn.

All production takes place in Spain with producers who have a history and heritage, sharing the values of tradition, excellence and responsibility that define Matarranz.

The fragrance has been designed with a clear purpose: to accompany without invading. It does not aim to perfume the space in an obvious way, but to wrap it discreetly, like a light blanket or a lamp glowing at dusk.
