Custom cabin textile for every vessel

The cabin textile of a luxury yacht requires the same level of attention as a hotel suite, with one additional factor: measurements are never standard. Each vessel has its own cabin layout, and bed linen must be adapted to it without compromise.

CAMA BARCO MATARRANZ

Bed linen and cabin textiles

For the bed covering, we offer several options depending on usage and sailing destination. Mid-season duvets in Egyptian cotton are the most common choice for Mediterranean sailing. Silk duvets and down fillings are available for vessels with comfort standards equivalent to those of five-star hotels. Cabin sleeping bags — designed specifically for on-board use — are the alternative for those who prefer a lighter bed linen solution that is easy to store in confined spaces. They are made in high-density cotton with finishes that withstand frequent washing without losing their shape.

Towels and bath textiles

Every detail matters on board. We offer bath textiles that combine comfort, elegance and functionality, tailored to the needs of each vessel and crafted to stand the test of time.

Towels, bath mats and bathrobes made from highly absorbent materials, designed for efficient drying and exceptional durability in humid environments and under intensive use.

Mesa barcos matarranz

Tableware & life on board

Table linens and accessories for indoor and outdoor use. Elegance and functionality for every occasion on board.

We craft tablecloths, napkins and placemats designed to withstand marine conditions, combining practicality and style with the quality standards that define our work.

Selected qualities for nautical use

Ambient humidity, temperature changes and intensive use during the sailing season subject textiles to more demanding conditions than any bedroom on land. The materials in the nautical range are selected to respond to those conditions. Long-fibre Egyptian cotton is the base material: it breathes, dries quickly, withstands frequent wash cycles and maintains its feel and whiteness during seasons of intensive use. For technically more demanding pieces — sleeping bags, deck duvets — higher-weight fabrics with greater resistance to solar discolouration are used. The collection features a complete colour palette, with coordination options between the different pieces in the cabin and the possibility of personalisation with the vessel’s or owner’s identity.

How we work with nautical projects

1. Tell us about your boat and your project
2. We advise you and propose tailored solutions
3. We design, manufacture, and take care of every detail
4. We deliver everything ready for you to enjoy on board

The process begins with measurements. Before producing any piece, the exact dimensions of each berth on board are required: length, width and mattress height, corner type and any specific constraints of the cabin. With this information, a set of samples is produced to validate the fit before confirming the full order.

For other textiles such as towels and table linens for yachts, the process is much the same as for the home, while carefully adapting each piece to the unique demands of life at sea.

At Matarranz we work with private yacht owners, fleet managers, shipyards and nautical interior design projects. For fleets with several vessels, a record of the measurements and specifications of each boat is maintained to facilitate replacement season after season. For luxury hotel projects with equivalent standards or premium restoration projects, the same bespoke tailoring service is offered in the same qualities.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Bespoke tailoring is the core of the nautical service. At Matarranz we work with the exact dimensions of each berth on board, including bunk beds with angular corners, bow berths with trapezoidal shapes and any non-standard configuration.

High-density Egyptian cotton is the most suitable material for nautical use: it breathes, dries quickly and withstands frequent washing without deteriorating. For duvets and fillings, the choice depends on the sailing destination: cotton for seasonal Mediterranean use, down or silk for vessels with comfort standards equivalent to those of luxury hotels.

Yes. Embroidery of the vessel’s name, the owner’s initials or any corporate identity element is available on all pieces in the nautical catalogue. The embroidery design is validated with the client before production.

The standard lead time for a bespoke yacht bed linen order is three to four weeks from confirmation of measurements and materials. For orders with a fixed sailing date, it is advisable to contact the team with sufficient notice to assess whether the timeline is feasible.
