At Matarranz, we have been making bespoke bed linen for premium hotels for over a century. With our own workshop in Madrid, without intermediaries and with full control throughout the process. The result is a textile that meets the exacting technical standards of luxury hospitality and can be reproduced exactly with every reorder.
Sheets are the piece guests value most. We make hotel sheets in 200-thread-count Egyptian cotton percale or above (the most common standard in four- and five-star hotels), and in 500-thread-count percale or above for establishments with superior standards.
Egyptian cotton percale offers a cool, smooth feel that improves with every wash, keeps its optical white after industrial wash cycles of up to 90°C, and does not pill with repeated use. Fitted sheets have a perimeter fit calibrated to standard mattress height, with a special-measure option for toppers or non-standard mattress heights.
Available as a complete set: fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillowcase. Also available as individual pieces for partial reordering.
Pillowcases in Egyptian cotton percale are made with either flap or concealed-zip closures, according to the establishment’s protocol.
Hotel duvets and duvet inners are available in hypoallergenic fill, with weight options adapted to the destination’s climate. Cotton or fine-wool blankets complete the range for establishments that work with layered bedding.
A mattress protector extends the life of the mattress and adds to the sense of cleanliness guests notice when the sheets are turned down. At Matarranz, our protectors have an adjustable skirt and anti-mite treatment, and can be washed at high temperature without the fit losing its shape.

Egyptian cotton, with its extra-long fibre, produces a denser fabric with less pilling. It withstands repeated industrial laundering better and keeps its properties for longer. It is the standard material in five-star hotels and premium accommodation, where durability and feel are non-negotiable.
Cotton percale is the reference finish in hospitality: cool to the touch, smooth, without artificial sheen, easy to iron and with excellent performance in industrial laundering. The combination of Egyptian cotton and percale weave is the technical standard for the luxury hotel bed.
