Bath Towels
Bath towels in Egyptian cotton and 100% linen. High absorbency, softness and comfort for daily use.
We make bath towels in long-staple Egyptian cotton, in high-gsm cotton and in 100% linen. Face cloths, hand towels, bath towels and bath sheets, from 500 to 800 gsm, in zero-twist and twisted terry. Monogramming with initials, names or logos, and made-to-measure sizes for private clients, hotels, yachts and interior design projects. Shops in Madrid, Lagasca 21, and San Sebastián, San Marcial 20.
The quality of a bath towel comes down to three things: the fibre, the weight and the making. We work in long-staple Egyptian cotton, which spins into a more even, more absorbent yarn that survives frequent washing, and in 100% linen for anyone who prefers a lighter towel that dries quickly. A well-chosen towel shows itself on the first use and gets better over the washes.

Bath Towels in Egyptian Cotton and Linen: Materials and Differences

Long-Staple Egyptian Cotton
Egyptian cotton is the reference fibre for good cotton towels. The long staple spins into finer, more even and stronger yarn, with more absorbency. The result is a towel with a soft handle and an even structure that holds up through frequent washing. With each wash the fibres open slightly and the towel gains loft.

100% Linen
Linen towels are lighter, breathe better and dry faster than high-gsm cotton. The texture is firmer at first and softens with use. They suit the guest bathroom, the dressing table, travel, or anyone who prefers a towel with character and less bulk. Linen does not compete with cotton on absorbency; it offers a different sensation.
What Weight of Bath Towel Should You Choose?
Weight, expressed in grams per square metre (gsm), tells you the density of the cloth. A higher weight gives a heavier, denser towel that holds more water. A lower weight gives a lighter towel that dries faster. We work between 500 and 800 gsm.
- 500–550 gsm: the balance between absorbency, softness and easy drying. The most adaptable choice for daily use.
- 600–650 gsm: more density and a fuller feel. The weight most often specified in high-end hospitality, where towels are washed daily and have to hold their body.
- 700–800 gsm: maximum loft and a deep, plush handle. More weight and longer drying. For anyone who puts the sensation first.
Weight is not the only criterion. The fibre, the type of terry and the making are what separate one good towel from another.
Zero-Twist and Twisted Terry: Handle and Absorbency
The structure of the terry pile decides the handle, the loft and how the towel behaves as it dries. We work with two constructions.

Zero-Twist Terry
Zero-twist yarn is woven without being twisted first, which produces a longer, softer, loftier loop. The result is an exceptionally plush towel with real volume and, for its weight, relative lightness.

Twisted Terry
Twisted terry uses a yarn with more twist, which produces a tighter, harder-wearing loop. The handle is firmer, drying is slightly faster and the structure holds more firmly through heavy washing. It is the usual construction in hospitality, for its durability under frequent industrial laundering.
Towel Sizes: Face Cloth, Hand Towel, Bath Towel and Bath Sheet
The format decides the use. The collection includes:
- Face cloth: the smallest format. For the face, the hands or the guest bathroom.
- Hand towel: everyday use for hands and face. The format most often reached for day to day.
- Bath towel: the standard for drying after a shower.
- Large bath towel: more cover and a more enveloping feel, for anyone who prefers a wider piece after a bath.
- Bath sheet: the most generous format. Full cover, complete envelopment, and the usual choice in high-end hospitality.
- Pool and beach towels: wide, light pieces for outdoors, for boats and for sports facilities.
We also work on projects in non-standard sizes — hotels, yachts, residential projects — in the same qualities as the standard catalogue. More in our bed linen for hotels section.

Towel Sets and Monogramming
A towel set lets you match face cloth, hand towel and bath towel in the same colour, quality and weight. Coherence across everything in the bathroom — towels, bathrobes and bath mats — reads as considered rather than assembled.
Every towel can be monogrammed with initials, names or logos. The embroidery is done in our Madrid workshops, with a choice of thread colour and of position on the piece. It is asked for most often for wedding lists, personalised gifts, hotels and interior design projects. See our wedding list section, or contact the team.

How to Wash Towels and Keep Them Soft and Absorbent
- Wash before first use. This activates the cotton fibres and improves absorbency from the first wash, by removing the dressing left from manufacture.
- Cotton: 40°C maximum, preferably on a long cycle.
- Linen: 30°C maximum on a delicate programme.
- Go easy on the fabric conditioner. Conditioner coats the fibre and reduces absorbency over time.
- Shake before drying. This brings back the loft of the pile and reduces creasing.
- Store completely dry. Damp storage is what causes smells and damages the cloth.
Frequently Asked Questions
What weight should a good bath towel be?
From 500 gsm upwards you get a towel that is absorbent, enveloping, soft and efficient at drying. Weight is not the only criterion: the fibre and the type of terry matter just as much.
What is the difference between zero-twist and twisted terry?
Zero-twist produces a plusher, loftier towel with more volume relative to its weight. Twisted terry produces a tighter towel that dries slightly faster and stands up better to heavy washing.
Are cotton or linen towels better?
It depends on the use. Long-staple Egyptian cotton absorbs more, feels loftier and copes better with frequent washing. Linen is lighter, dries faster and has a more pronounced character. They are not equivalent options: cotton suits daily use after a shower; linen suits the dressing table, or anyone who prefers a towel with less bulk.
Can you monogram towels with initials or logos?
Yes. Every towel can be embroidered with initials, names or logos. The work is done in our Madrid workshops, with a choice of colour and position.
